Effect of Symbion-P ( @ 3 lit/Ha ) on Pod yield in Palak
Mode of Action
The Bacillus megaterium var. phosphaticum cells contained in the product on reaching soil get activated and produce fresh batches of active cells. These cells grow and multiply by utilizing the carbon source in the soil or root exudates. During their growth, by secreting organic acids, they solubilize the fixed phosphorus in the soil and make it available to plant in a readily usable form.

Dose and Method of Application
Seed Treatment:Seed required for 1 ha treated with Symbion-P by adopting either seed dipping or seed coating method. Use of proper inoculum and instant sowing of inoculated seeds with a minimal waiting period between treatment and planting are necessary to overcome the excessive loss of viability between inoculation and sowing.
Seedling Root Treatment: Symbion-P (10ml/ltr.) insufficient quantity of water is mixed with field soil or organic fertilizer to form a slurry, and the seedling roots are immersed in this slurry for about 30 minutes so that the roots are drenched well in the slurry and the bacteriae get attached to the roots. The seedlings are then either pricked or planted. In case sufficient organic fertilizer, field soil and farmyard manure are not available, mixing Symbion-P with water and then dipping the roots of the seedlings can also be done.
Soil Application: Application of Symbion-P (3 lit/ha) mixed with organic fertilizer (500kgs) and applying it near rhizosphere at optimal temperature and that between 15 to 20 days after crop emergence, is very useful. Bio-fertilizer and organic fertilizer mixture have to be applied uniformly in the soil and blended well into soil to get the best effect.
Drip System: In places where the drip irrigation system is in practice the liquid formulation of Symbion-P can be used @ 3 Litres/ha in 500 Litres of water.
Tree Treatments: Symbion-P (Bacillus megaterium) is mixed with water in required and specified rate (10-20 ml/Ltrs) and applied nearer the feeder root zone or the trunk following pan irrigation, drip irrigation and the like. The treatment is to be done 2 or 3 times a year. The dosage of Symbion-P (Bacillus megaterium) varies according to varieties, their age, a period of the crop, size and canopy of the tree.
